Job Summary
Assistant Principal for Middle/High School responsible for school culture, student support, instructional leadership, staff evaluation, curriculum alignment, safety, scheduling, data-driven decisions, and community engagement. Lead behavior management using PBIS and restorative practices; collaborate with counselors and teachers to support student social-emotional learning; supervise student activities and events; observe and mentor instructional staff; coordinate professional development and ensure vertical alignment of the 8th–9th grade transition; participate in school safety planning, emergency drills, and crisis response; assist with master scheduling, course registration, and room assignments; analyze student data to drive continuous improvement; act as primary contact for parents and foster partnerships with community organizations and local businesses; requires Master’s degree and valid administrative license, plus 3–5 years of teaching experience at secondary level.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Educational Leadership, School Administration, or closely related field
- Valid State Administrative License (e.g., Principal or School Administrator K–12 / 6–12)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably at the secondary level
- Clear criminal background check and child abuse clearances as required by state law
