Job Summary
Middle Grades Science Teacher at a public regional STEM school. Plan, prepare, and deliver rigorous, engaging lessons using project- and problem-based instruction; engage students in learning; develop soft skills (critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration); utilize technology to maximize learning; use diverse assessment tools; advise students, communicate progress to families, and foster partnerships with home, school, and community to address barriers to learning; contribute to a high-performing team and participate in professional development to support growth in STEM education and college/career readiness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Minimum of three years experience as a middle or high school teacher preferred
- NC Professional Educator’s License preferred, but not required; Must be eligible to obtain license within 3 years
- Strong knowledge of STEM across content areas
- Experience with project-based instructional formats
- Ability to engage families and community in learning
