Job Summary
Middle Grades Science Teacher responsible for delivering engaging science instruction to 6th–8th graders at Table Rock Middle School. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials, applies effective teaching strategies, maintains classroom management, differentiates instruction to meet diverse learners, and assesses student progress through multiple methods. Communicates with parents and stakeholders, adheres to board policy and safety procedures, collaborates with colleagues through PLCs, utilizes technology to enhance learning, and aligns instruction with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Requires a North Carolina teaching license (or eligibility), a bachelor’s degree in a relevant program, and a commitment to a 10-month, full-time, benefit-eligible teacher contract. The role emphasizes developing a positive, inclusive learning environment and ongoing professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- North Carolina Teaching license or eligibility
- Bachelor’s Degree from an approved education program in the subject area
- Ability to perform essential teaching duties as described in job responsibilities
- Strong classroom management skills
- Familiarity with North Carolina Standard Course of Study and Essential Standards
- Commitment to inclusive school culture and professional ethics
