Job Summary
Teach 7th-grade math to middle school students; develop and administer curriculum, create lesson plans, and deliver instruction aligned with district goals; conduct ongoing assessments and modify teaching strategies to address diverse student needs; communicate with parents and administration about student progress; maintain records, manage classroom environment, and participate in faculty meetings and committees; administer standardized tests and coordinate with other staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- State Certification as a Middle School Teacher
- Connecticut State Certification in the appropriate subject matter preferred and may be required
- Bachelor's degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Masters Degree preferred
- Experience: Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation
