Job Summary

Produce technical manuals, system documentation, and program reports supporting systems, programs, and digital modernization initiatives. Develop documentation for architecture and engineering teams while creating training materials. Manage multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment, collaborating with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Provide technical assistance and support over the phone, training end users on frequently asked technical issues. Requires on-site presence five days a week, an active Secret security clearance, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 4+ years of technical writing experience
  • Experience supporting federal or DoD customers
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days a week
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience working in a home office setting
  • Ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone
  • Good phone skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience developing technical documentation, system manuals, architecture artifacts, training materials, and executive-level reports supporting DoD, CDAO, or federal digital modernization initiatives
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC), Security+, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent
  • Ability to work well with others
