Job Summary
Mid Tax Associate Wealth Transfer role focusing on estate & wealth transfer planning for high-net-worth clients. Key responsibilities include drafting and implementing sophisticated trust and wealth transfer structures, supporting gifting strategies and estate freeze planning, business succession matters, producing detailed planning memoranda and implementation documentation, translating complex concepts into actionable steps, coordinating with attorneys, clients, CPAs, and financial professionals, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across planning and execution phases. Requires a J.D. with optional LLM in Taxation and 4–8 years of post-JD experience in tax/estate/wealth transfer planning, strong drafting/implementation skills, and excellent organizational/communication abilities. Compensation: $155,000–$165,000 DOE; fully remote work environment with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- LLM in Taxation strongly preferred or equivalent advanced experience
- 4–8 years of post-JD experience in tax, estate, or wealth transfer planning
- Strong drafting and implementation experience
- Experience from a law firm, private client practice, or Big 4 environment welcomed
- Candidates focused primarily on tax compliance work are unlikely to be a fit
