Job Summary
Primary responsible Systems Engineer (SE2) to support the Security organization, performing SE duties for classified and unclassified network devices and systems, maintaining SSPs, conducting monthly scanning and patching; majority of work in Linux with some Windows experience; must have TS/SCI with polygraph; 14 years of SE experience; Bachelor’s degree required (or 5 years additional SE experience in lieu of degree); at least 6 years in QA/CM, requirements management, risk management principles, system test programs, troubleshooting, monitoring; scripting in bash/python; UNIX/Linux/Windows; virtualization (VMware); Puppet; SSP support including scanning, patching, documentation, and ATO activities; desired knowledge of OrchidCore/OrchidFusion and AWS/cloud; location in Laurel, MD; no explicit remote work indicated.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
- At least six (6) years of QA, CM
- Linux systems administration experience
- Windows Server
- Virtualization - VMWare
- Puppet Experience, or ability to learn quickly
- SSP Support - scanning, patching, keeping documentation up to date and support ATO activates
- UNIX, Linux, Windows
- MS Office
- Scripting bash/python
- System architecture
