Job Summary
Deploy and configure ArcGIS across diverse environments, operating systems, and cloud providers to meet service level agreements. Plan and execute content migrations between deployments while troubleshooting advanced platform issues involving storage, networking, and security. Consult with end users on enterprise architecture, integration topics, and key GIS workflows. Collaborate internally to align customer technical objectives with Esri's technology platform. This role requires a Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility and 3+ years of experience in enterprise ArcGIS administration. The position is located in Vienna, Virginia, with a salary range of $145,000 to $175,000 annually. Chenega MIOS supports large-scale government operations through integrated enterprise IT solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities
- Experience designing, implementing, and/or administering enterprise ArcGIS or other comparable IT systems (desktop, server, and online)
- Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux
- Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language (such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#)
- Familiarity with network concepts and topics (such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load-balancing)
- Experience with at least one RDBMS, including SQL query writing (such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Active or Current (within two years of active) Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or STEM-related field
- One or more industry-standard IT certifications (such as Esri, Microsoft, Amazon)
- CompTIA Security + certification
- Experience with Esri software, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Runtime and their associated APIs or interfaces
- Cloud-based system operations (SysOps)
- Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
- Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
- Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting, as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues
- Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired
- Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
