Mid-South Territory Sales Manager

Job Summary

Drive business results within your defined geographical region by conducting direct sales, dealer sales, and distributor sales while managing marketing, sales, and service coordination. Research the market to maintain an accurate contact database, convert opportunities into new business, and execute product demonstrations. Prepare and present sales proposals, liaise with engineering for complex technical questions, and coordinate warranty and service work within the region. Participate in developing territory marketing strategies, lead follow-up efforts at regional and national trade shows, and train new Territory Managers. Travel 60% to 80% of the time to provide weekly activity summary reports to Management.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years' experience
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • OR have any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance
  • 60% to 80% travel required
  • Light service work may be performed by the Territory Manager
  • Read and interpret documents
  • Write routine reports and correspondence
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers and Integral dx employees
  • Use Microsoft Office - outlook, excel, word, PowerPoint, Microsoft project
  • Be technologically advanced on smart devices
  • Have knowledge of machinery, equipment, material, bill of materials, etc.
  • Utilize strong active listening skills
  • Multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Gain a working knowledge of MRP to assist in managing, prospecting, and closing sales opportunities
  • Achieve and maintain proficiency in manufacturing and engineering terminology

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to liaise with engineering and/or manufacturing departments for complex questions
  • Experience with product demonstrations
  • Experience with product drawings, 3D models, and bills of material
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and presenting product sales proposals
  • Experience utilizing effective communication with customers regarding quotes, competitive information, trade shows, threats, opportunities, and follow-up
  • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing departments to get accurate data and specifications
  • Experience conducting new product delivery training and/or commissioning
  • Experience promoting aftermarket offerings including service part sales
  • Experience coordinating warranty and/or service work within a region
  • Experience participating in developing marketing strategies for a territory
  • Experience participating in regional associations, regional and national trade shows
  • Experience leading follow-up efforts for trade shows
  • Experience preparing and/or assisting in the preparation of exhibitor lists for trade shows
  • Experience participating in business planning and/or budget planning
  • Experience training new Territory Managers
