Job Summary
Surface Maintenance Lead responsible for inspecting, repairing, and installing equipment for underground and surface mining operations. Leads a team, trains workers in equipment operation and safety procedures, and ensures adherence to safety rules and MSHA/OSHA regulations. Performs regular inspections, completes production, safety, and maintenance reports, and operates heavy mobile equipment. Strong emphasis on safety culture, effective communication across operations, and coordination of activities within the mine environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 4+ years related experience
- Valid US driver's license
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Production equipment operation, Troubleshooting, OSHA and MSHA regulations, Time management, Problem solving skills, Detail oriented, Communication and leadership skills
