Job Summary

Conduct emergency triage, rapid patient stabilization, and urgent interventions in a high-acuity ER setting. Perform technical procedures including IV catheter placement, blood draws, radiographs, anesthesia induction, and medication administration. Monitor patients throughout treatment and recovery while responding to changes in condition. Support veterinarians with client updates, discharge education, and detailed medical record maintenance. Collaborate closely with ER doctors, ICU, and specialty teams for case discussions and handoffs. Requires 2+ years of ER or ICU experience; licensed candidates earn $25+/hr. Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Emergency, ICU, or high-volume General Practice
  • Strong technical and nursing skills in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to patient advocacy and gold-standard care
  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Emotional resilience and adaptability in urgent care situations
  • 2 weekdays & 1 weekend day REQUIRED

Desired Qualifications

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, RVT, CVT)
  • Emergency or Specialty hospital experience
  • Interest in pursuing advanced training, licensure, or VTS (ECC)
  • Proficiency in emergency triage, stabilization, and monitoring
  • Strong anesthesia and procedural support skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in dynamic ER settings
  • Solid understanding of emergency pharmacology and protocols
