Job Summary
Legal & Compliance Counsel for a group spanning Hong Kong, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and beyond. Advise on legal, regulatory and governance matters; drive regulatory, governance, IP and data privacy strategy; liaise with regulators such as the Hong Kong Insurance Authority; identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks; draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts including insurance policies and SaaS agreements; support fundraising and group structuring; shape the group’s governance framework for directors and investors; work on investments and acquisitions for the group.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified as a lawyer in a common law or Asian jurisdiction
- 5+ years post-qualification experience
- Fluent English and Chinese essential (including drafting in both languages)
- Insurance experience a bonus
- Experience using GenAI tools and agents a bonus
- Tech/SaaS legal experience a bonus
