Job Summary
Independently manage civil litigation matters from initiation through resolution in state and federal courts and arbitration. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and other filings while researching complex legal issues and developing effective litigation strategies. Argue motions, make court appearances, and take or defend depositions involving parties, witnesses, and experts. Manage discovery strategy, responses, disputes, and litigation deadlines, preparing cases for mediation, settlement, hearings, and trial. Collaborate with partners to develop trusted client relationships and contribute to business development and professional visibility. Requires an active California Bar license, four years of law firm civil litigation experience, and a J.D. from an accredited law school. Flexible hybrid schedule with three office days and two remote days per week, with no advance approval for remote days. Monthly billable-hour bonuses, origination bonuses, and an annual discretionary bonus.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- 4+ years of civil litigation experience in a law firm setting
- Demonstrated experience drafting and arguing motions, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, and appearing in court
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently while working effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Self-starter with sound judgment and a genuine interest in growing with a boutique litigation practice

- Top 100 law school
- Law firm litigation experience strongly preferred over in-house or solo practice backgrounds
