Job Summary
Mid-Level Systems Engineer in Aurora, CO (TS/SCI with Poly) responsible for designing, implementing, integrating, and optimizing technologies to enable mission success across defense and intelligence programs. Serves as a trusted technical advisor, helps identify and implement new capabilities, and ensures alignment with existing systems and processes. Supports Agile operations and administers Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence) to enable collaboration, planning, execution, and knowledge management. Responsibilities include evaluating emerging technologies, performing cost-benefit analyses, developing evaluation matrices, integrating new tech with established environments, troubleshooting integrations and performance, and developing documentation. Preferred focus areas include Atlassian administration, Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe), cloud and enterprise software platforms, automation and workflow design, cybersecurity principles, and experience with DoD/IC missions. The role emphasizes delivering technically sound recommendations, driving operational efficiency, and acting as a technical leader across cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise technology solutions
- Experience evaluating software tools, platforms, or technical solutions for organizational use
- Experience supporting system integration efforts across multiple technologies or business functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience creating technical documentation, system designs, and operational procedures
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
