Job Summary
Design and support network architecture, including system-level design, datacenter virtualization, and enterprise security boundaries. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco IOS, Juniper, and load balancers while managing TCP/IP protocols, routing/switching, and stateful firewalls. Install and maintain physical network infrastructure, routers, switches, and security devices using Atlassian tools and ticketing systems. Support on-call rotations and live call environments to ensure continuous network availability and protection. Requires TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with both Polygraphs
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university
- 8 years minimum experience OR No Degree + 10 years minimum experience OR 8 (eight) years demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection
- datacenter network design and architecture experience
- installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks
- 2 (two) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
Desired Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols
- Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols
- Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls
- Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite
- Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers
