Job Summary
Mid Level Software Engineer responsibilities include developing Java, JavaScript or Python enterprise applications; designing and developing web services; relational, spatial, and NoSQL database design; building microservice architectures with containerization and/or orchestration; API development; and cloud-native development across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Desirable experience includes developing customized code, scripts, modules, macro procedures, or libraries for specialized spatial analysis; integrating geospatial COTS software applications; working with imagery products (including SAR) and GIS; using common geospatial tools and data formats; exposing and consuming standards-based APIs (Open Geospatial Consortium); and developing terrain analysis visualization or automated detection algorithms. Education paths include an MS or BS in a relevant field with corresponding years of full-stack development experience, or 6 years of software development experience as a substitute for a degree.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated firsthand experience in at least two of the following: Java, JavaScript or Python enterprise application development; Web services architecture, design, and development; Relational database design; Spatial database design; NoSQL database design; Micro-service architecture, design and development; Containerization and/or Orchestration; API Development; Cloud Native Development, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or similar Cloud Service providers
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in the development of customized code, scripts, modules, macro procedures, or libraries to implement specialized spatial analysis functions using languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, PHP, C, Perl, or similar scripting and development languages.
