Job Summary
Serve as trusted counsel to startups and emerging growth companies from incorporation through exit, leading venture financings, SAFE and convertible rounds, preferred equity deals, and secondary transactions. Advise founders and boards on corporate governance, cap table issues, and strategic transactions including acquisitions and portfolio company exits, often with cross-practice input from fintech, technology, and digital assets teams. Operate within an integrated ECVC platform managing matters touching AI, Web3, blockchain, crypto, and metaverse technologies across San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, and New York offices. Requires at least four years of ECVC or venture-side experience, bar admission in California or New York, and strong client-handling skills for sophisticated founders and investors. Market AmLaw scale compensation of $310,000 to $420,000 annually plus bonus, 401(k), and robust benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of ECVC, startup, or venture-side experience
- Experience from a peer AmLaw platform or highly regarded boutique
- Significant experience running or heavily staffing venture financings and other private company transactions
- Experience including drafting and negotiating core deal documents
- Bar admission: California for SF / Palo Alto / LA and New York for NYC
- Clear path to admission
