Job Summary
Schnabel Engineering seeks a Mid-Level/Project Dam Safety Engineer with expertise in dam engineering including hydrology, hydraulics, geotechnical engineering, and structural engineering. Candidates must have over 5 years of practical experience in design and construction of embankment dams, concrete dams, and hydraulic structures. Responsibilities include performing engineering analysis, design calculations, inspections, project management, preparation of engineering reports, construction documentation, and mentorship of junior engineers. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and strong project management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
- At least 5 years of relevant technical experience in inspection, evaluation, design and construction of dams and hydraulic structures
- Proficiency with common computer-aided analyses and modeling programs
- Experience with project management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
