Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose physical disorders, and administer medical treatment including medication dispensing. Order and interpret diagnostic lab and radiological studies while developing and implementing patient management plans documented in the EHR. Collaborate with the health team to coordinate care, manage referrals, and establish priorities during pre-visit huddles. Provide emergency medical care, educate patients on self-management, and prepare progress notes and summaries. Participate in quarterly chart reviews, staff meetings, and activities such as home visits, sports physicals, and immunization campaigns. Maintain active membership in medical societies and establish rapport with clinical referral resources.
Required Qualifications
- Must have successfully completed medical training at a 4-year, accredited medical school
- Must possess a Physician Assistant or APRN degree
- Must be board certified or in the certification process
- Must possess a current South Carolina state license including prescriptive authority with appropriate scheduled drugs approved through the Drug Enforcement Agency
- Maintenance of Basic Life Support Techniques
