Job Summary
Mid-Level Mechanical Systems Test Engineer responsible for the verification and validation of mechanical airplane systems. Design and build test systems, test structures and load systems, environmental enclosures, and simulated control surfaces; develop mechanical hardware and electrical packaging for power labs; test actuators, hydraulic components, flight controls, landing gear, and avionic user interfaces; develop test methods, procedures, and instrumentation, analyze data, and deliver test reports. Requires collaboration with fabrication teams, adherence to standards (ASTM/SAE), and U.S. export-control compliance. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 3+ years of experience with 3D modeling tools is expected; ability to communicate test results to customers and train others. Relocation is not a negotiable benefit; visa sponsorship is not provided.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 3+ years of experience with 3D modeling tools
- Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience documenting and clearly communicating test results to customers
- Shift: Primary first shift; additional shifts may be required to support program objectives
- Export control compliance requirement: U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62
- Ability to prepare and publish test reports and archive data
