Job Summary
Conduct cite-checking and ensure proper legal citation compliance using The Bluebook while providing support throughout the litigation process, including discovery, court filings, and trial prep. Utilize Relativity to search, code, and export documents, and conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg, and other databases. Assist in docketing procedures, draft legal documents and correspondence, and organize case files in iManage. Compile litigation-related data for reports and collaborate with attorneys and clients. Attend hearings and depositions when necessary. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of litigation experience, and proficiency in Relativity, Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberg. Hybrid schedule (3 days in-office) in New York, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of litigation experience in a law firm environment
- Strong cite-checking skills
- Familiarity with court rules and procedures
- Proficiency in Relativity, including document management and e-discovery
- Expertise in legal research platforms like Westlaw, Lexis, Bloomberg
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to maintain detailed and accurate records
- Technical proficiency in iManage
- Technical proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Technical proficiency in Adobe Acrobat
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Attention to detail and precision
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work overtime (evenings, weekends, and holidays) when needed
