Job Summary
Mid-Level Linux Administrator at The Boeing Company in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities include system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers/workstations to support architectural delivery; provide problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems; support design/validation/configuration management of computing delivery systems; administer user system access and protect information to meet security requirements; monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery; work within Boeing IDT&S to support multiple programs, leveraging Linux expertise, and contributing to secure, reliable infrastructure. Requires 3+ years of Linux experience, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL5/6/7/8), AD integration, and DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification; preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, scripting for automation, VMware virtualization, security integration experience, and related IT skills.
Required Qualifications
- Active CompTIA Security+ DoD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification
- 3+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Linux versions
- 3+ years of experience with deploying, securing and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems (RHEL5/6/7/8)
- 3+ years of experience with maintaining and configuring Active Directory (AD)
