Job Summary
Mid-Level Interior Designer needed to join Buchan’s Sydney studio. You’ll contribute to a diverse portfolio across hospitality, clubs, retail, residential, and hotels, participating from concept design through construction and contract administration. The role emphasizes design leadership, project delivery, and client engagement, with hands-on proficiency in Revit/BIM and Enscape (and knowledge of CAD, SketchUp, and V-Ray). Requires 4–7 years’ experience, strong presentation skills, and the ability to lead project teams when required. Must hold full working rights in Australia and be prepared for a permanent, full-time position in Sydney. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior or Industrial Design, or Associate Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration
- 4–7 years’ experience on large-scale, complex projects
- Proven experience across commercial sectors (clubs, retail, hospitality, high-rise residential, or mixed-use developments)
- Strong conceptual design ability and ability to carry ideas through to delivery
- Confident and articulate presentation skills
- Solid understanding of detailing and high-quality documentation practices
- Proficiency in Revit/BIM and Enscape (essential), with working knowledge of CAD, SketchUp, and V-Ray
- Strong design and documentation capability with a focus on quality outcomes
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead project teams when required
- Full working rights in Australia
