Job Summary
Mid-level geotechnical engineer/geologist to join Schnabel in Sacramento, CA, contributing to the design, analysis, and assessment of major infrastructure projects with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include leading tasks within projects, managing smaller projects, performing calculations to support designs, preparing construction drawings and technical specifications, supporting client interactions and business development, mentoring junior staff, planning and managing technically advanced geotechnical investigations, preparing boring logs, drawings, and reports, assigning and reviewing laboratory tests, and preparing simple reports and proposals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geological Engineering, or Geology
- 6+ years of professional experience or fewer with Master’s Degree or PhD
- Licensed Professional Engineer or Geologist
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks, complex calculations and basic reports
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Background check and pre-employment drug screening
