Job Summary
Conduct groundwater and vapor treatment system engineering calculations, remediation system data tabulation, and report preparation. Develop subcontractor scopes of work, coordinate with vendors and laboratories, and prepare permit applications and compliance reports. Execute field tasks including remedial system O&M, pilot testing, in-situ injections, and soil excavation while overseeing contractor installation. Support proposal efforts with cost estimates and manage procurement for materials and equipment. Travel within the Northeast region for field work and participate in health and safety observations. Report to a Principal Engineer in the Buffalo, NY office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Civil)
- 3-5 years of related environmental consulting experience
- Must be resourceful with excellent communication and writing skills
- Must possess a high degree of initiative and time management skills
- Must be able to wear personal protection equipment and work outdoors in all seasons
- Must be available for travel within the Northeast region to perform field work as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification or Professional Engineer registration
- Stormwater or civil engineering experience
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with basic hand tools
