Job Summary
Perform groundwater and vapor treatment system engineering calculations, remediation system data tabulation, and report preparation. Complete materials specifications, subcontractor scope development, and cost estimate support for proposals. Prepare remedial action plans, pilot test workplans, and permit applications while coordinating directly with vendors and laboratories. Execute field tasks including system operation and maintenance, pilot testing, in-situ injections, and soil excavation. Coordinate field projects such as trenching, piping installation, and contractor oversight, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols during outdoor work in all seasons. Travel within the Northeast region as necessary to support these engineering and field duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Civil)
- 3-5 years of related environmental consulting experience
- Must be resourceful with excellent communication and writing skills
- Must possess a high degree of initiative and time management skills
- Must be able to wear personal protection equipment and work outdoors in all seasons
- Must be available for travel within the Northeast region to perform field work as necessary
Desired Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification or Professional Engineer registration
- Stormwater or civil engineering experience
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with basic hand tools
