Job Summary
Independently complete engineering design, technical analysis, and preparation of specifications and reports for gas engineering projects, including transmission and distribution infrastructure, pipeline and conduit systems, and related facility improvements. Develop computation methods, technical reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior staff, while identifying and resolving technical discrepancies to ensure regulatory compliance and system performance. Monitor project progress and performance, acting quickly to resolve operational issues and minimize delays on critical gas infrastructure initiatives. Take responsibility for large portions of projects with oversight from senior staff, including field assignments associated with natural gas and petroleum utility assets. This role supports the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of essential energy infrastructure for clients in Syracuse, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience
Desired Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Strong working and theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply engineering knowledge in practical settings
- Understanding of QA/QC procedures and regulatory standards
- Proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations
