Job Summary
Perform project task scheduling for ecology documentation and permits, provide project status updates, evaluate impacts from transportation projects, coordinate with design professionals, and lead field investigations including wetland and stream delineations. Prepare documentation and technical reports and coordinate with state and federal agencies. Candidates should possess a B.A./B.S. or M.S. in a relevant field and have significant experience in ecology-related work, including familiarity with construction plans and ecological surveying. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, GPS technology, and ecological assessment methodologies is also required.
Required Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. or M.S. in a field of Science
- Minimum three years’ experience since Bachelor's degree or two years’ experience with Master's degree
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, task and time management, deductive reasoning, and analytical skills
- Completion of training courses required for GDOT pre-qualification in the area of Ecology
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with National Environmental Policy Act documentation
- Experience with Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments
- Proficiency with ArcGIS or ArcPro
- Experience working with GDOT
- Strong botanical identification skills
