Job Summary
Contract Litigation Attorney to support a growing plaintiff-side litigation practice, focusing on drafting complaints and other pleadings, drafting and responding to discovery, motions practice (including motions to compel and for summary judgment), legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis, preparing memoranda and case summaries, and collaboration with lead counsel to meet litigation objectives. The role involves independent work with strong drafting and research requirements, and remote work is possible for candidates located in the United States or internationally. The position is a 3-month temporary contract with potential for permanent placement in Garrison, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or international equivalent law degree
- 3+ years of litigation experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience drafting complaints and discovery in U.S. civil litigation matters
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Familiarity with state and federal court procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters simultaneously
- Experience supporting plaintiff-side litigation strongly preferred
- Proficiency with legal research platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
