Job Summary
Develop compelling storytelling and editorial direction for communication artifacts, including graphics, digital media, and visual content for change effort briefings, newsletters, and social media. Craft and refine messages to align with the organization's brand, while monitoring trends and responding to stakeholder inquiries across all digital channels. Collaborate with OCM specialists, graphic designers, and the client to create content that supports organizational change management and leads the refinement of the customer experience. Define communication goals and KPIs, then track effectiveness using metrics like audience reach and sentiment analysis to inform strategy adjustments. Ensure all materials adhere to copyright regulations and brand guidelines. This role supports strategic communications for a federal client, requiring a 3-6 year background in communications and OCM theories. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Scott AFB, IL, for on-site work three days a week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
- Federal Consulting Experience
- At least 3-6 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related fields, with a strong track record of leading communication initiatives
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex or technical information into clear, concise messaging
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of OCM theories and models (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter's 8-step Model, Lewin's Change Management Model)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must reside within 50 miles of Scott AFB, IL
- Eligible for Secret Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced certification in Communications, Public Relations, or equivalent fields is a plus
- Additional certifications in leadership or strategic communication are advantageous
- Expertise in visual storytelling, graphic design, and the creation of digital media
- Advanced proficiency in communication tools, social media platforms, and content management systems
- Experience with digital communications tools (e.g., SharePoint, web content platforms, email marketing tools)
