Job Summary
Mid-Level Full-Stack Software Engineer responsible for designing and shipping production-grade REST APIs using C# .NET Core, with a frontend in React (~25%), in an AWS environment. Contribute to open-source MCP servers and CLI tooling, explore AI/LLM capabilities (Claude Code), and deliver features end-to-end in a small, autonomous team. Responsibilities include backend API development, full-stack feature development, software maintenance, agile collaboration, unit testing, and staying current with cloud-native and AI tooling. The role emphasizes ownership, mentorship within a cross-functional team, and delivering high-quality, scalable software that supports the company’s mission in improving people’s financial lives.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years experience as a software engineer
- Experience with C# .NET Core development
- Experience developing and deploying REST APIs
- Experience with React and front-end UI development
- Experience with SQL and relational databases
- Experience writing unit tests
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with AWS products and tools
- Experience with Git-based version control (Bitbucket, GitHub, or similar) in a collaborative team environment
- Experience with Agile development environment
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting
- Experience building or working with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers (strong plus)
- Experience with AI/LLM integration (strongly encouraged)
- Experience developing CLI tooling
- Experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch
- Experience with DataDog or similar observability tools
- Experience with OAuth/SAML/SSO authentication
- Experience with C++ (nice to have)
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Experience in a startup environment
