Job Summary
Design, build, and ship features independently from technical design through deployment while maintaining and improving existing application functionality. Write efficient, well-tested code and review peer submissions to provide constructive feedback. Mentor junior engineers on Python best practices and software design, collaborating with QA, product, and senior engineers to deliver reliable, accurate features. This fully on-site role requires 4–5 days per week in the London office, with some travel. Candidates need 3–5 years of Python experience, FastAPI proficiency, and strong SQL skills. Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional experience building production software in Python
- Experience with FastAPI (or a similar web framework)
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on production experience with SQLalchemy/PostgreSQL
- Professional experience with Docker
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design
- Solid grasp of Git and standard version-control workflows in a team environment
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
- Must be available to come into the London office when required
- Some travel may be required
- This is a fully on-site role, based in London. You will be expected to be in our London office 4 or 5 days per week
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with ClickHouse or another columnar/OLAP database
- Experience with Go or Rust, or strong aptitude to pick it up quickly
- Professional experience processing large volumes of data (complex data pipelines)
