Job Summary
Craft high-quality backend features and services independently using C#, .NET, and Azure, while managing cloud operations for secure storage, authentication, and deployment via CI/CD pipelines. Identify application bottlenecks using profiling tools and prioritize tasks during sprint planning to drive performance optimization. Provide concise updates in stand-ups, proactively raise blockers, and collaborate on architectural discussions including microservices and event-based systems. Mentor junior colleagues, contribute to internal process evolution through retrospectives and Communities of Practice, and maintain clean engineering standards with modern testing strategies. This hybrid role in Dundee or Glasgow supports a consultancy transforming business-critical IT projects.
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency with C#
- .NET
- Azure environments
- Experience or familiarity with legacy technologies and stored procedures
- Solid understanding of backend architectures including microservices and event-based systems
- Familiarity with SOLID principles
- Awareness of code maintainability, security standards, and modern testing strategies
- Openness to learning new tools
- Contribution to architectural decisions
