Job Summary
Groom Artist to create hair effects on 3D animated characters, animals and props, grooming and shading assets in accordance with concept art and production workflow. Responsibilities include ensuring technical compliance with the production pipeline, developing tools for the department, solving problems creatively, collaborating with modeling, rigging and surfacing to meet technical requirements, meeting deadlines and quotas, executing corrections, organizing workload for approvals, and communicating with team members. The role involves working with the Paris studio and international partners in a bilingual setting, presenting and promoting technical and creative strengths to a global audience. Optional skills include modeling, rigging, and Python experience.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Blender
- Proficiency in Geometry Nodes
- Experience with Geometry Nodes, Particle System Grooming / Surfacing / Shading
- Comfortable working in a Linux/Unix environment
