Job Summary
Independently design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and core infrastructure for a large federal enterprise multi-domain data ecosystem. Develop efficient data processing workflows, create data models and schemas, and integrate diverse sources into unified datasets using AWS, Databricks, and related cloud-native technologies. Implement robust validation, monitoring, and observability processes while contributing to data governance, security, and automation initiatives. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and security teams to deliver mission-critical solutions. This role requires Python, SQL, Spark, and PySpark expertise, with a maximum T&M rate of $130,000. Located in the National Capital Region with potential for hybrid telework, candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible for Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, and PySpark
- Experience with cloud-based ETL services (e.g. AWS Glue, Google Cloud Dataflow, Azure Data Factory)
- Familiarity with Databricks, Palantir, Snowflake, and data warehousing technologies
- Strong understanding of data orchestration and quality processes
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field
- 3+ years relevant professional experience
- Intermediate certifications (Cloud+, GSEC, Security+, SSCP); or advanced certifications (SecurityX/CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CCSP, CISSP)
- U.S. Citizen
- Secret or TS/SCI eligible
- On-client site with potential for hybrid telework
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, Hadoop/Spark, NiFi, ELK stack or comparable technologies
- Data engineering certification (e.g. Azure, Google, IBM, Palantir)
- Experience working with federal clients
