Job Summary
Troubleshoot system malfunctions and direct corrective maintenance activities for major mechanical equipment to ensure test readiness. Develop advanced maintenance plans with Asset Health Assurance personnel and conduct system safety hazard analyses. Write clear work instructions, update documentation, and communicate risks to stakeholders. Plan and execute maintenance projects, upgrades, and test initiatives with planners and craft supervisors while providing technical leadership to assist personnel. This role supports the Test Operations and Sustainment contract at Arnold AFB, TN, maintaining airframes, engines, and industrial systems like motors and hydraulic pumps. Candidates must hold a BS in mechanical engineering, 5–8 years of experience, and an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years' of post degree engineering experience
- BS degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university
- Grade 08: A minimum of 5 years' engineering experience
- Grade 09: A minimum of 8 years' engineering experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network
- U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC
- It is a condition of employment to wear company issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
