Mid Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

Job Summary
Mid Backend Engineer responsible for developing software in alignment with strategic objectives, participating in the full software development lifecycle (design, backend development, testing, and deployment), and building reliable, scalable systems for a global logistics IT environment. You will design innovative solutions from functional and non-functional requirements, own applications in production under the "you build it, you own it" principle, maintain clean code with automated tests and code reviews, support product documentation, and collaborate with teams in an Agile setting. Required expertise includes Java, Kotlin, Kafka, Postgres, AWS, and Terraform experience, with a focus on CI/CD, pair programming, and continuous learning. Fluent English and a proactive, collaborative mindset are essential, along with the ability to operate in a flexible, mobile-working arrangement in Portugal.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with agile software development
- Proficiency in Java and Kotlin
- Experience with Kafka and Postgres
- Knowledge of CI/CD and clean code practices
- Experience with AWS and Terraform is a plus
- Fluent in English
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate in teams
- Provide 3rd line support and contribute to documentation
