Job Summary
Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Teams Voice solutions by collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and deploy components like direct routing, calling plans, and auto-attendants. Integrate voice systems with existing telephony infrastructure, monitor call quality, and troubleshoot network or hardware issues to ensure reliable performance. Maintain security policies, create user training materials, and document configurations while managing vendor relationships and staying current with platform updates. This six-month contract requires an 8+ year veteran with deep knowledge of SIP trunking, QoS, and emergency calls to lead seamless voice communication initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing voice communication solutions
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Teams Voice features, including direct routing, voice policies, call routing, auto-attendants, and emergency calls
- Familiarity with session border controllers (SBCs), PSTN connectivity, and SIP trunking for voice solutions
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including LAN, WAN, QoS, and firewall configurations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex voice communication issues
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and end-users
- Experience in creating user training materials and delivering training sessions to promote technology adoption
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements related to voice communication data
- Project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and coordinate implementation efforts

- Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
