Job Summary
Microsoft Security Engineering Solution Manager (m/w/d) in Germany. Lead a team of Cyber Security Consultants specializing in Microsoft security technologies (Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Entra, Intune, Purview) and serve as the solution expert for services delivered by the Microsoft Security Engineering team. Translate business requirements into technical implementation and project plans, guide team career development, engage with customers throughout the delivery lifecycle, coach engineers, support pre-sales and scoping, ensure quality and consistency of services, and shape the strategic service portfolio and go-to-market approach. Ensure leadership in security architecture, project delivery, and cross-functional collaboration while staying current with Microsoft security trends. Fluent in English and German; citizenship in a NATO member state required; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field; 5+ years in cyber security with hands-on Microsoft security experience; ability to manage multiple projects and coach junior and senior engineers; hybrid work in Germany (Frankfurt area) with travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber security, with strong exposure to Microsoft security technologies and a clear affinity for structuring and coordinating security engineering activities or project delivery
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies such as Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Entra, Intune, Purview, and Azure security services
- Experience translating customer requirements into technical architectures and implementation roadmaps
- Affinity with service development, strategic thinking, and the evolution of customer-oriented offerings
- Ability to identify market trends and translate them into relevant service opportunities
- Excellent communication skills in English and German
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks while maintaining strict attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Soft skills including independence, collaboration, coaching mindset, and pragmatic problem-solving
Desired Qualifications
