Job Summary
Microsoft Security AI Ranger based in Tokyo, Japan. Lead partner and customer-facing technical engagements across Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview, deliver L300–L400-level technical discussions on threat protection, information protection, data governance, compliance, and secure AI readiness; run technical workshops, solution mapping sessions, demos, and proof-of-concept support to remove blockers and build confidence in Microsoft solutions. Deliver L100–L200 sessions in Japanese covering Copilot for Microsoft 365 business value, readiness, adoption considerations, governance basics, and demonstrations; help partners and customers understand how Copilot adoption connects to security and information governance; position Copilot as part of a secure Microsoft 365 journey. Work with distributors, SI partners, MSPs, and resellers across Japan to build technical capability and improve solution readiness; provide cross-team collaboration with sales, partner, and technical stakeholders to ensure smooth progression from awareness to deployment readiness; adapt content for local market expectations. Preferred candidates will have experience with adjacent Microsoft workloads and certifications; strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts for technical and business audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent Japanese (native business professional) required
- Moderate English proficiency preferred but not required
- 3-6+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, partner enablement, cloud, security, modern work, AI, or related customer-facing technical roles
- Hands-on experience or strong foundational knowledge in Microsoft Security, especially Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Purview
- Ability to lead deeper technical security conversations, with a growth path toward stronger L300-400 capability in Secure AI scenarios
- Ability to deliver L100-200 Copilot for Microsoft 365 conversations, briefings, demos, or readiness workshops
- Experience presenting to both technical and business audiences
- Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts into customer and partner value
- Understanding of Microsoft 365, SaaS/cloud concepts, and common security / compliance fundamentals
