Job Summary
Coordinate with DOI, USDA Forest Service, and partner organizations to improve FireNet operations and Microsoft environment utilization. Advise leadership on platform governance, licensing optimization, security, and user adoption. Support tenant administration, B2B collaboration, external user access, and platform enhancements while developing policies, SOPs, and operational guidance. Manage security controls, compliance reviews, reporting, and group administration by interpreting federal IT directives and assessing impacts. Resolve Microsoft issues, manage tickets, and generate operational reports. This role serves as the primary Microsoft SME for interagency wildland fire operations, providing technical leadership and stakeholder coordination within a remote environment with occasional DC metro travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum five (5) years of Microsoft platform subject matter expertise
- Experience with Microsoft 365 tenant administration, collaboration services, and governance
- Experience administering Microsoft environments, tools, and security controls
- PowerShell scripting experience
- Strong experience with Microsoft environment settings and security controls
