Job Summary
Configure, optimize, and administer Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive while developing governance plans and troubleshooting complex issues. Design cloud solutions in collaboration with Server, Network, and AD teams, and create PowerShell scripts to automate tasks and manage the environment. Manage endpoints via Intune, enforce security policies, compliance, and data loss prevention, and utilize Purview for data governance. Execute changes through the Change Management process, document configurations, and support training efforts. Serve as the go-to Subject Matter Expert to provide recommendations for system enhancements and optimizations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 environments governance and management
- Hands-on experience with Office 365 services such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive
- Obtain Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals within 90 days of hire
- Ability to configure, optimize, and administer M365 applications including but not limited to Outlook Online, Teams, OneDrive, O365 Apps, and SharePoint Online
- Develop governance plans for M365
- Troubleshoot and resolve Outlook Online and Office 365 issues
- Design, configure, and implement cloud solutions in collaboration with the Server, Network, and AD teams to meet the needs of the organization
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security features and best practices, including managing security policies, compliance, and eDiscovery services
- Data governance using MS Purview
- Configuring permissions, data loss prevention policies, threat detection, Retention/Disposition, Sensitivity Labels, and audit logs
- Ensure the overall security of the Microsoft 365 tenant
- Ability to create and execute PowerShell scripts for automating tasks and managing the Microsoft 365 environment
- This skill is essential
- Experience with Intune and for managing endpoints, objects, collections, deployments, and software updates
- Ensuring all endpoints are configured with the latest security patches and updates
- Establishing and managing client expectations while maintaining a positive, proactive, and professional demeanor
- Providing support and addressing any issues that arise
- Staying updated with the latest Microsoft 365 features, updates, and best practices
- This may involve obtaining relevant certifications
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base, including end-user guides, diagrams, and tech spec sheets, as required
- Support training efforts for Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and others in the Microsoft 365 stack
- Serve as the go-to Subject Matter Expert representing Microsoft 365, providing recommendations and solutions to facilitate decision-making
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Entra cloud computing, Microsoft 365, and related technologies

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- A minimum of five years' combined experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines; including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102)
