Job Summary
Technical Officer to design, build, and implement microgrid systems in collaboration with the project team; specify/integrate various microgrid hardware, software, and/or complete systems; help develop test plans, execute them, and collect characterization and performance results using customized data acquisition and visualization tools; safely install, operate, and maintain microgrid components and systems; prepare and follow standard operating procedures, participate in hazard prevention program studies, and investigate microgrid operational issues and optimization strategies; coordinate contractors and NRC services to install and maintain microgrid and related lab infrastructure; create test reports of raw and analyzed data for the project team and present results as needed. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering discipline and minimum 3 years relevant work experience, plus experience in design, build, and operation/maintenance of microgrid systems; knowledge of single and 3-phase engine generator sets, batteries, energy storage, PV inverters, and associated controls; strong safety culture and ability to work with Vendors/Trades; ability to produce high-quality technical reports and work with cross-functional teams.
