Job Summary

Lead ultra-pure water and wastewater treatment system integration for semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities, managing project planning, commissioning, startup, and operational optimization. Develop semiconductor-focused standards, execution methodologies, and design layout recommendations to enhance system reliability and maintainability. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to educate stakeholders on industry expectations and best practices for high-purity water systems. Evaluate facility layouts for constructability and operational efficiency while identifying technology gaps and process improvement opportunities. Support factory utility startup activities, including functional testing and performance verification, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Travel domestically and internationally to align technical requirements and drive project execution strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in semiconductor, microelectronics, pharmaceutical, or other high-purity industrial facilities with direct involvement in ultra-pure water (UPW), wastewater treatment, water reuse, or related utility systems
  • Strong technical understanding of UPW process technologies such as RO, EDI, IX, degasification, filtration, UV, TOC removal, and distribution systems
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand PFD's, GA's, P&ID's, and layout drawings
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with customers and internal teams
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the integration, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and operation of complex industrial water and wastewater treatment systems
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor facility infrastructure, utility reliability requirements, and operational expectations
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor water treatment technologies, including but not limited to reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange, EDI, degasification, UV oxidation, filtration, reclaim systems, wastewater treatment, and chemical management systems
  • Experience reviewing or influencing facility and utility layouts with consideration for operational efficiency, maintenance access, constructability, safety, and long-term reliability
  • Extensive experience with commissioning, startup, system turnover, functional testing, and operational readiness processes for semiconductor or advanced manufacturing facilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams including engineering, operations, construction, procurement, controls, and end users
  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills with the ability to educate internal teams and customers on semiconductor industry requirements and best practices
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex operational challenges and develop practical solutions
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to support project execution, factory startup, customer engagement, and site activities as required
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body
  • May need to climb ladders
  • Cannot be afraid of heights
  • Will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site
  • Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy area
  • It involves sitting at a desk for extended periods

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting greenfield semiconductor fab projects or major facility expansions
  • Knowledge of semiconductor contamination control principles and critical utility integration requirements
  • Experience supporting water reuse, reclaim, or zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems within semiconductor manufacturing environments
  • Experience with semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing project delivery environments
  • Previous experience working directly with or for semiconductor manufacturers
