Microbiology Technologist - Atrium Health Core Lab - FT Days/Weekends

Conduct medium to high complexity microbiology testing procedures in bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, virology, and molecular-based infectious disease. Perform slide preparations, staining techniques, and quality control processes while maintaining specimen integrity and interpreting complex susceptibility patterns for antibiotic resistance. Analyze and record patient test results into the electronic medical record with high accuracy, troubleshooting assay and instrument issues as needed. Participate in training for technologists, students, and residents; contribute to process improvements, verification studies, and new technology transfers. Maintain documentation, competency, and compliance with respiratory PPE and regulatory guidelines. Work Thursday through Sunday, 06:30–17:00, with eligibility for a sign-on bonus within the $30.70–$46.05 pay range.
