Job Summary
Conduct environmental monitoring testing for viable and non-viable particulates and sanitize the DI water system. Perform bio-burden monitoring of the manufacturing facility and laboratory, review USP and regulatory guidances to ensure compliance, and analyze microbiology test results from the DI water system and bio-burden data. Author reports as needed and manage inventory of microbiology lab supplies. Prepare media, sterilize waste and glassware, and calibrate instruments while adhering to GMP compliant regulations and safety requirements. Perform microbiology testing for weekend and holiday schedules as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in a scientific discipline or equivalent
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical data, specifications, standard operating procedures, and standard testing procedures
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as standard deviation, average, etc.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
- Must be highly organized and able to schedule, prioritize and execute activities
- Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
- Zero to three (0-3) years laboratory (preferably microbiology) experience
