Job Summary

Microbiology Technical Specialist to lead and operate within a self-directed laboratory team. Responsible for organizing and coordinating routine microbiology operations, validation activities, and ensuring testing timelines. Provides technical expertise, coaching, and leadership to technicians; supports audits/inspections and ensures compliance with cGMP/cGLP. Collaborates with Manufacturing, Tech Ops, CQV, Plant Engineering and QA; Drives continuous improvement and lean initiatives in the lab; manages handovers and communications to customers. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or higher preferred) and 6–8 years in the microbial/pharma space, with supervisory experience. A hybrid working model is offered for office-based colleagues.”,

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred, ideally in Microbiology or a closely related discipline
  • Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in the Microbiology Pharmaceutical industry or similar environment
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge in microbiology lab test methods (Environmental Monitoring, Microbial Identifications, Bioburden testing, Endotoxin testing, BacT testing, Growth Promotion/Sterility Testing)
  • Experience with New Product Introduction and Microbiology Method Validation
  • Investigation experience
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with Lean practices
  • Flexible working arrangements (hybrid)
