Microbiology Supervisor

Supervise high complexity testing operations by scheduling shift coverage, performing bench work, and monitoring payroll activities. Ensure testing personnel utilize pending reports to confirm all shifts are accounted for, while conducting performance evaluations, competencies, and annual assessments. Monitor test analysis and specimen examinations to maintain analytic performance, ensuring patient results are not reported until corrective actions are completed and systems are functioning. Perform instrument assessments, assign maintenance, and maintain inventory of supplies and quality assurance documentation. Troubleshoot client, instrument, and computer problems, ensuring a safe environment compliant with OSHA and CLIA regulations. Assist the Laboratory Manager in resource utilization, method development, and proficiency testing analysis. Comply with legal requirements, distribute compliance materials, and ensure staff participation in required training programs.
