Microbiology Supervisor

Supervise high-complexity microbiology testing, schedule shifts, and perform bench work as needed. Ensure regulatory compliance (CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA) and maintain documentation for audits. Provide orientation and annual evaluations for testing personnel, conduct performance reviews, monitor analytic performance, and ensure patient test results are reported only after corrective actions and proper system functioning. Manage instrument maintenance procedures, ensure availability of regulatory and QA documentation, oversee resource utilization and inventory, and support quality assurance and training initiatives. Strong verbal and written communication, planning, and problem-solving skills are essential; familiarity with laboratory safety and compliance requirements is expected. ASCP certification is preferred.
