Job Summary
Lead the daily operations of the Microbiology functional department by supervising sub-department activities and directing Quality Technicians and Lab Associates. Prioritize workloads, assign shift requirements, and manage hiring, coaching, and annual performance reviews for direct reports. Establish local policies and goals while participating in leadership team meetings to build systems and serve as the Subject Matter Expert for audits and cross-functional teams. Write and review investigations for out-of-level results, perform statistical analysis of data to evaluate microbiological trends, and respond appropriately to findings. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a physical science, five years of quality experience, and ability to gown qualify for Grade A/B areas. Duties may involve overtime, nights, weekends, and handling laboratory chemicals.

- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality
- Must be able to gown qualify for Grade A/B area
- Must be able to wear applicable Personal Protective Equipment
- Must be able to handle laboratory chemicals
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment
- Must be available for overtime work, including nights and weekends
